Mrs S. Elliott

Foundation Stage Teacher/PE

I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a BEd in Primary Education with QTS. I started teaching at South View in January 2013 and have enjoyed teaching in Year one and more recently the EYFS. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, travelling to new places and cooking different types of food. I have a passion for animals from around the world and I particularly enjoy observing them in the wild.

Mrs D Holmes

Foundation Stage Teacher/PE

I have worked at South View since Sept 2012 in the Foundation Stage. I have also taught years 2,3 and 4. After leaving school I trained to be a Nursery Nurse and mostly worked in Maternity units on Post- Natal and Special Care units. I spent 3 ½ years living and working in New Zealand. Whilst there, I worked in day nurseries caring for 2-5 year olds.

I have two children and one very special little grandson. My son lives in Australia and my daughter lives in Peterborough.  I love to travel whenever possible and have a keen interest in dance. I run a dance club for KS1 and KS2.  The children have the opportunity to perform at the Cresset with other primary schools twice a year.

At weekends I enjoy gardening and baking for my family.

Miss S Bell

Year Three Teacher/UKS2 Lead/Art&DT

Hello! I am Miss Bell and I am privileged to be teaching the fabulous Beeches class this year.

Originally from North Yorkshire, I moved to Deeping St James over twelve years ago where I began my teaching career. I spent five years working in the city of Peterborough (Dogsthorpe and Nene Valley). However, since joining South View in September 2009, I have never looked back. Instantly, I fell in love with the school. The children are impeccably behaved and have a real thirst for learning and the staff, especially the teaching assistants, are amazing to work with as they continually go that extra mile to ensure that the children are happy and progress in their learning! What more can you ask for?

I have taught throughout Key Stage 2 and have experience in Key Stage 1. Teaching is my passion; it is not just a job to me! I particularly enjoy teaching Maths, Computing, Science and Geography. Outside of school, I like spending time with my family and taking my two wonderful children, Megan and Louis out on day trips.

I am really excited about coming back full time and being part of a new teaching team at South View.

Miss C Patmore.

I am the subject leader for Science in school and I always love the children bringing in their Science creations to show me. In my spare time I like to go camping with my family and enjoy spending time walking my dog ‘Little Red’ (who is not actually that little).

Miss H Barrett

Throughout my teaching career, I have been fortunate to work with children from Foundation Stage through to Year Eight in both state and independent schools across several areas of the UK.  I strive to create an enjoyable learning environment and develop inquiring minds enabling every child to develop a life-long passion for learning in order to fulfil their potential. My aim is to encourage children to be as enthusiastic about their learning as I have been throughout my life.

Mrs R Mark

Year 5 Teacher

Having taught across all year groups, in a wide variety of schools, I am an experienced teacher with a wealth of knowledge and skills to draw upon. I work hard to support children in making progress and as a result, I frequently consult the latest research and adapt my teaching, using a range of strategies to engage and motivate learners.

Ms S Garland.

I have lived in Crowland for 30 years (all my married life!) and our son attended South View too. I have worked in education for 20 years and at South View since 2005. I absolutely love my job! Helping children to succeed in school by removing barriers to learning and encouraging them to enjoy their entire school experience is for me, the ultimate reward. I also love to increase their enjoyment of sport and (as some of you know!) I am a very keen distance runner and also enjoy cycling, squash and climbing.  I am very fortunate to work alongside great members of staff who all share the same positive vision for the children at South View.

Mr R McIntosh

Mrs J Munton

Administration Manager

Just over 25 years ago I was appointed School Secretary, a role which has developed over the years to Administration Manager along with a qualification of  Certificate of School Administration.  During this time I have seen over 1200 children start their school life at South View.  There have been many changes during this time and with the combined strength of the staff, children and the community it makes each school day worthwhile.

In the education system there are constant changes, which also affects the administration roles and keeps us on our toes with the demands of training, new technology and the needs of our lovely children.  I am proud to work at a school to be able to witness how the children continue and develop into well rounded, respectful, polite and well mannered pupils.

Outside of school I enjoy sewing, gardening and reading.  I am also a keen member of the local amateur dramatics group, CADS, where I am actively involved with the annual pantomime and other productions staged by the society.

I have two lovely children who are both happily married.  I also have one granddaughter.

Mrs C Hunter
